About Us

 

Hello, and thank you for you interest in our company history. Though we are in the retail hardware business our history actually goes back much further to my father, Jan Comstock. He started in the Albertsons grocery chain in the late 1960’s. 

 

After several years working for Albertson’s my father decided that he would rather work for himself so he packed all of our family up and moved to Eureka, MT where he opened a small grocery store. A few years later my parents purchased the hardware store located next to the grocery store. As kids, my sisters and I grew up in the retail businesses and worked along side our parents for the next 20 years. 

 

Upon graduation from the University of Montana, Kami and I decided to get back into the retail hardware business and asked my parents, Jan and Karen, to join us. 

 

Around that same time Walt and Mary Ricker decided to sell Billings Hardware so that they could spend more time with children and grandchildren. After seeing the store and meeting the people of Billings, Kami and I, decided to make the move East of the mountains and purchase Billings Hardware. 

 

That was in the winter of 2005. 

 

From that time forward we have had a wonderful time serving the west end of Billings, and continuing to create anything but your ordinary hardware store. Kami and I work daily in the store and my parents, Jan and Karen, reside in Billings seasonally to help us with our garden center. We enjoy the Billings community and the opportunity that we have in continuing the tradition of working together in our family business. We look forward to helping you and always appreciate your business.
